Room Posting 3: The Living Room and 4: The Kitchen

There are just a couple photos each of these because one wasn't what you'd call "finished" and one was occupied with the detritus of life and M refused to have it photographed.

The room: Living room
The style: Eclectic Pre-Raphaelite library
The colors: Rich burnt orange, cream, and multi-jewel tones

This is a work-in-progress photo from when M was moving stuff in:

The floor-to-ceiling bookcases are on the wall that faces the front door. They're a lot fuller now, as are the waist-high ones that occupy the entire wall to the left of the photo. We have a lot of books.

More after the jump!

A print of this painting, one of Waterhouse's Ladies of Shalott, is over our fireplace.  The wall behind the lamp behind the chaise still has our two handmade broomsticks leaning against it (you can just see them), but two more Romantic-style beauties hang up there now.  Over the bookcases to the left, my Ursula Vernon Orc Nouveau III print and some prized stained glass M brought from the UK.

The room: Kitchen
The style: Eclectic mix of strawberryana without being too cutesy
The colors: Leaf green, bold red and white

... yeah, I've got nothin'.  The wall color was matched to the vine leaves in M's wrist tattoo.  The clock was a gift from my grandparents.  It has a bug on it.  What more can anyone want?
